Midsummer Night is a painting on glass that has multiple layers of paint to enhance the textures in the night sky and horizon in-relief. Opalescent pigments added to the transparent gloss add the glimmer effect of starlight. The many layers of paint create a feeling of movement in the dark shadows of the dense meadow.
Utilizing pigmented inks and the highest resolution and widest gamut printer available, Sohn Fine Art produces stunning works of exhibition quality pigment prints (also known as giclee prints). The paper/substrate I use is Innova Cold Press 315 gsm – Natural White, Textured Watercolor; or Hahnmuhle German Etching 315 gsm - Bright White, Textured Watercolor -- depending on the colors and textures dictated by the painting.
Prints can be produced at any custom size up to 44”X 48”. All images include a ½” to 1” border (depending on the image size). Special orders of prints on fabric can also be arranged. Prints are made on demand and take 2-4 weeks for delivery.
