Carla Francesca Parachini

The poet Mary Oliver (1935-2019) wrote poems about nature to express her spirituality. I make art about nature to settle my spirit. As with her words, I hope my observations of the astounding physical world reflect my gratitude for the solace nature bequeaths. The awe I experience in encounters with nature is difficult to communicate. The artistic challenge is to represent these observations and perceptions in a form that translates the indispensable quality of my astonishment.

Gallery owners, art collectors, and decorators will find my artistic approach well-centered in the tradition of both fine and decorative art that celebrates nature.

My paintings, mixed-media compositions, and sculptures capture the essence of a natural object or context through impressionistic or abstract representation.

I believe compositions depicting natural objects and phenomena can bring serenity to any setting.

My art work – which brings nature inside — is at home in formal and informal settings. I welcome commissions and custom work. Having been a producer-designer of media for four decades, artistic collaboration with a wide range of collectors and decorators is appealing and exciting to me.

I am particularly interested in working with individual clients, who desire unique artwork for special occasions such as installations, centerpieces, and artwork to enhance particular settings including homes, shops, businesses, restaurants, and event spaces.
