Tuscan Dream is an innovative painting as it relies on the reverse painting technique to create the three-dimensional effect with an additional graphic overlay of the tree with the leaves painted on the front side of the glass. The painted branches and root structure are then carved out with Exacto knives to add further depth and contrast in the foreground. This painting incorporates water-based opaque paint and opalescent pigments to heighten the effect of bright sunlight reflected on shimmery meadow grasses.
Utilizing pigmented inks and the highest resolution and widest gamut printer available, Sohn Fine Art produces stunning works of exhibition quality pigment prints (also known as giclee prints). The paper/substrate I use is Innova Cold Press 315 gsm – Natural White, Textured Watercolor; or Hahnmuhle German Etching 315 gsm - Bright White, Textured Watercolor -- depending on the colors and textures dictated by the painting.
Prints can be produced at any custom size up to 44”X 48”. All images include a ½” to 1” border (depending on the image size). Special orders of prints on fabric can also be arranged. Prints are made on demand and take 2-4 weeks for delivery.
