Young River Birch is a reverse paint which captures the extraordinary graphic features of the River Birch tree. Using gold leaf strokes to exaggerate the myriad spikes of a young River Birch this composition captures the striking expressive quality of these dramatic trees by juxtaposing the pale opalescent hues of the white-pink bark next to the outer spikey branches.
Utilizing pigmented inks and the highest resolution and widest gamut printer available, Sohn Fine Art produces stunning works of exhibition quality pigment prints (also known as giclee prints). The paper/substrate I use is Innova Cold Press 315 gsm – Natural White, Textured Watercolor; or Hahnmuhle German Etching 315 gsm - Bright White, Textured Watercolor -- depending on the colors and textures dictated by the painting.
Prints can be produced at any custom size up to 44”X 48”. All images include a ½” to 1” border (depending on the image size). Special orders of prints on fabric can also be arranged. Prints are made on demand and take 2-4 weeks for delivery.
