Painting on Glass with Image in-Relief

The paintings on glass were initially an experiment. I liked the result so much I kept using glass instead of canvas. The glass allows me to work with no original texture. I use a combination of water-based opaque paint with opalescent pigments to enhance hues and create shimmery effects. Mica pigments are also used for this effect.  Multiple layers of paint and glazes add texture and dimension. Some paintings also have gold leaf highlights.
