Through The Wetlands is a painting on canvas with water-based paint, opalescent pigments and pearlized and clear gloss. Multiple layers of paint and clear gloss create an in-relief effect of bright cloud cover reflected on the phosphorescence from algae suspended on the surface of wetland ponds. Mica based pigments enhance the glow of the photoluminescence and the interaction with bright reflective surfaces.
Utilizing pigmented inks and the highest resolution and widest gamut printer available, Sohn Fine Art produces stunning works of exhibition quality pigment prints (also known as giclee prints). The paper/substrate I use is Innova Cold Press 315 gsm – Natural White, Textured Watercolor; or Hahnmuhle German Etching 315 gsm - Bright White, Textured Watercolor -- depending on the colors and textures dictated by the painting.
Prints can be produced at any custom size up to 44”X 48”. All images include a ½” to 1” border (depending on the image size). Special orders of prints on fabric can also be arranged. Prints are made on demand and take 2-4 weeks for delivery.
