Reverse Painting on Glass
These paintings were an experiment using the ancient Reverse Painting technique (see ABOUT section for more information on Reverse Painting). This technique involves painting on glass beginning with outer elements of the composition against the glass in the foreground – progressing to the elements in the background. The painting is viewed by turning the glass over and looking through the glass at the image from the non-painted surface. This technique creates the illusion of dimension.
